Visiting Emanuel

We are pleased that with the lifting of government restrictions, we have resumed some Shabbat services for our community. For details on registering to attend services please click here.
We will continue to stream our Shabbat Live services on Friday evening as well as Shabbat Embrace on Saturday morning. Please contact info@emanuel.org.au for details.

Whether it is for an event, a celebration, services or an informative tour, we encourage the community to visit Emanuel Synagogue. If you are not a member and are planning to visit, please call the office on (02) 9389 6444 or email us on info@emanuel.org.au.  If you are coming for a service or event, please be sure to bring photo identification such as a driver's license.

Transport

Walking

Emanuel is only around 12 minutes, flat walk from Bondi Junction; see directions below.

Emanuel is less than 20 minutes walk from Edgecliff station; see directions below.

Trains
Emanuel Synagogue encourages the use of public transport and is only a short walk from both  Bondi Junction and Edgecliff train stations. Both of these stations are on the Eastern Suburbs line, less than 15 minutes from Town Hall in Sydney CBD. Click here for a timetable for the Eastern Suburbs line or to download a copy. Buses

The 200, 389 and 340 buses run from the city to near Emanuel Synagogue. The 333 bus runs from Bondi Beach through Bondi Junction to Oxford Street, Woollahra near the synagoue (around 20 minutes bus ride). For information on other bus routes to near the synagogue, click here.

Cycling

There are a range of cycling paths around Woollahra. You can also download a map of cycling paths for Woollahra/Waverley  here. Emanuel Synagogue provides secure areas for bikes to be stored on the campus.

Driving

We recognise car travel may be a preferable option in some instances, particularly for people traveling to or from areas with limited public transport options. We advocate these people consider using car pooling where practical. Car pooling benefits the wider community through easing congestion on the roads, reducing carbon emissions and making roads safer through fewer cars. People participating in car pooling save money on fuel, tolls, parking and vehicle wear and tear.

The main entrance to Emanuel Synagogue is at 7 Ocean St, Woollahra. 

This is open during services and events. 
Please use the intercom next to the gates for access during office hours.

Access to Emanuel Woollahra Preschool is from Woods Ave, Woollahra (off Wallis St) during class times.

Go to the end of the street and turn left. This is for pedestrian access only.
