Sale of Chametz 2021 (5781)

During Pesach it is not permitted to own any chametz. To avoid having to throw or give away the chametz that we may have in our possession, we sell it to a non-Jewish person for the duration of the festival. Often people will authorise a person within the community to sell the chametz on their behalf.

By submitting this form, I  the undersigned, fully empower and permit, Rabbi Jeffrey B. Kamins OAM to act in my place and stead and on my behalf to sell all chametz possessed by me, knowingly or unknowingly, as defined in the Torah and Rabbinic Law, eg. chametz, possible chametz and all kinds of chametz mixtures.

This also includes chametz that tends to harden and adhere to the inside surfaces of pans, pots or cooking and useable utensils, and the utensils themselves, as well as all kinds of live animals that have been eating chametz or mixtures thereof, and to lease all places wherein the chametz owned by me may be found, especially in the premises indicated below and elsewhere.
