Julian Leeser served as vice-president of the Liberal Party of Australia (New South Wales Division) from 2015 to 2016 and was elected to parliament at the 2016 federal election. After the 2019 election Julian became chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Migration and the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Indigenous Affairs.
