Wow what a party we had last weekend! Thank you to everyone who joined us and launched our Capital Appeal to restore the splendour of our Heritage Sanctuary.
We invite you to keep in touch with what is happening with the restoration at our websitewww.restorethesplendour.org
Now that Purim has passed, it’s only one month until Pesach! Soon, our Pesach pages will be available with all the services and sedarim for you to book in your calendar. We will also be holding our Pesach food drive. As you clean out your cupboards, you can bring non-perishable food items to the synagogue for those in need.
We hope you all have a beautiful and peaceful Shabbat
Pesach Food Drive “…let all who are hungry come and eat”
We offer this invitation at the beginning of every Pesach seder and much as we would like to do so, we cannot find a place at our sedarim for all the hungry in our community. But we can, at this time of year, bring food to the tables of those in need.
As you clear out your cupboards and prepare for Pesach, we would love you to bring a donation of non perishable food to the synagogue for our Pesach food drive.
What: Non-perishable food items (please check used by dates)
Where: Drop to WOODS AVE gate during office hours and into the baskets in the foyer on shabbat
On Saturday evening we kicked off our Capital Appeal to fund the restoration of the splendour of our Heritage Sanctuary, with the great music of Ilan Kidron and the Glassbreakers and in the setting of the Millie Phillips Building which was turned into a nightclub.
If you would like to discuss your support of the capital appeal including making a pledge, naming rights opportunities or seat purchase, please do not hesitate to reach to our friendly team by calling 9389 6444 and press option 4, or email us at restoration@emanuel.org.au
